FSSC 22000 v5.1 Lead Auditor Course

This hands-on workshop-based training is designed for those who want to develop the skills necessary to audit a company’s whole Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to ensure that it complies with the standards of the FSSC 22000 system, either as a third- or second-party auditor.

A comprehensive certification programme for the auditing and certification of a food safety management system is included in the Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000). (FSMS).

The programme is based on worldwide and independent standards like ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22003, and technical requirements for sector-specific Pre-Requisite Programs (PRPs), including ISO/TS 22002-1, and was established through extensive and open consultation with many global stakeholders.

The FSSC Scheme follows the definition of the food chain category in ISO/TS 22003 and covers sectors where a technical specification for sector PRPs has been published.

This comprehensive training course is designed for those who need a deep understanding of the knowledge and abilities necessary to conduct second and third-party audits of an FSMS against FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000. Many of the abilities learned in this training are transferable to other food safety management systems audits.

For anyone wishing to register with the CQI and IRCA as a lead auditor of a food safety management system under the food safety auditor scheme, this FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor (FSMS) training course satisfies the training requirements.

Designing, implementing, and managing a Food Safety Management System that complies with FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000 criteria is the responsibility of food safety specialists.

Prior Knowledge Required

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of managing food safety, including prerequisite programmes and HACCP
